Russia Just Played Us All. Again.
See how it’s making breaking news in west media and everyone already forgot russia hit Dnipro hydro power plant.
This story is about how russia can kill and how it kills two birds with one stone.
A short version:
👇
In the last two days, Ukraine has been dealing with the largest missile attacks from russia in 2024. It’s logical to assume that all the world’s media should have written about it a lot.
But the very next day, a terrorist attack occurs in the moscow-area Crocus City Hall, which solves several problems for russia at once:
- The media portrays russia as the victim. It is not a terrorist anymore but a victim of terror now.
- The shellings of Ukraine are no longer on the front pages.
- rus society gets even more afraid for itself in russia, and it will be more motivated to fight now.
- Together with the attacks on their energy infrastructure, russia now gets more reasons to continue mobilization, launch new restrictive laws in their country, etc.
- Having come to power again (after so-called “elections”), putin and all the rus officials started saying that it’s not “a special military operation” anymore but a war; and that Ukraine’s demilitarization has been achieved. What’s left? Denationalization.
The russian authorities can now take very active steps, presenting Ukrainians’ reactions to the moscow-area terror attack as proof that “these are not humans but nazis whom we have the right to kill.” And now, they will say that in the status of a victim, constantly intercepting the media space and keeping both ordinary russians and Europe in fear.

A longer version:
March 22, 2024. Morning:
Russia carried the most massive attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure today: more than 150 missiles and drones in a night. Ukraine’s air forces downed 92 of them.
The Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant was hit. Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is under threat of blackout☢️
People are left without electricity and internet. There are dead and injured.
Lachen writes:
ukraine_defence adds:
“Pictures of the damaged Dnipro dam in Zaporizhzhia following tonight’s Russian missile attack from the russian propaganda media. Dnipro dam one of Europe’s largest hydroelectric power plants and dams.
One of the largest air attacks on Ukraine in recent months. Explosions in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro and other regions. Russia hits electrical infrastructure. A number of residential buildings were also hit by missiles/drones.
Massive damage to infrastructure in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia, the cities closest to russia.
Kremlin emboldened by air-defence shortage in Ukraine.
Kharkiv electricity facilities hit by 15 ballistic missiles from Russia, plunging the city into total blackout. Water supply disrupted, no city transportation.
Russia is taking advantage of cutting off the resupply of air defense interceptors. Since Russia can’t subjugate Ukraine with either annihilation or attrition strategies they target critical infrastructure to make civilian life unbearable and country dysfunctional. And those who block essential aid for Ukraine self defense are complicit in these crimes. All the successes of the Russians in 2024 are thanks to its allies in the West. It becomes obvious that the one who blocks help does it consciously.
The whole Ukraine will look like in the photos if the calls of populists to “stop the war” by stopping aid to Ukraine will be supported.
The “world community” imposes too many restrictions on the methods of self-defense of the victim of aggression, while the aggressor does not limit himself to anything.
As example, “The US has urged Ukraine to halt attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure, warning the drone strikes risk driving up global oil prices and provoking retaliation, according to three people familiar with the discussions. The repeated warnings from Washington were delivered to senior officials at Ukraine’s state security service, the SBU, and its military intelligence directorate, known as the GUR” — Financial Times.
Should Russia continue to make money and refuel its tanks? What the heck?
Ukraine is increasing the production of its own weapons and Russia will feel the response in full.”
Speaking of Financial Times, by the way:
A few hours after the above-described attack, Christopher Miller (a well-known communicator of rus propaganda) published the article. His sources are, as often, super trustful: “One person said,” “by some officials,” “a former CIA analyst noted,” “an NSC spokesperson said,” and many other nameless yet (I’m sure) very serious and representative specialists.
What happens next? Right:
Everyone forgets about the most massive attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure that, besides Dnipro, also included 15 missile strikes on Kharkiv (the second largest city in Ukraine after Kyiv; no electricity for 700K Ukrainians now; my sister lives here, so I know that for sure) and 12 missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia (besides those 8 strikes the dam “welcomed;” 7 houses demolished, residential areas erased).
(I’m not even sure west media mentioned it at all!)
But now, everyone discusses “The US has urged Ukraine to halt attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure” because it’s a “risk driving up global oil prices and provoking retaliation.”
Such a news triggers controversial and somewhat sarcastic emotions in Ukrainians living under russian attacks daily:
“Only under missile attacks a Ukrainian can understand the pain a western person feels when paying 20 more cents for something.” (@LollaLollll, on X)
“Americans in the movies: save the world and punish all bad guys
Americans in reality: Dear Ukrainians, don’t send drones at oil plants please and try to defeat this giant f**k with two and a half Petriots, thanks!” (@kapitandna, on X)
“I’m sorry, but after 10 years of war, two of which are a full-scale invention, after tens of thousands of dead and wounded, and a 99.9 percent chance that russians will kill me in case of their successful occupation attempt, I just don’t give a shit about the world oil price, escalation, or the nuclear threat.
We were forced to give up nuclear weapons for guarantees, and now we are reaping the benefits of this coercion and guarantees from Western democracies related to this act of “goodwill” from Ukraine. It’s another question whether we could and had resourses to keep those nuclear weapons back then — it’s no longer important today.
I don’t even give a shit if missiles, drones and everything else that can carry a combat unit will carry dirty nuclear weapons to Russia. Because most likely me, my family and my loved ones will be dead then. Just a pure selfishness. Sorry.” (@donikroman, on X).
March 22, 2024. Evening:
Massive shooting in moscow-area Crocus City Hall. The terror group enters a concert venue, killing at least 60 people and injuring 145 (for the moment I’m writing this article). ISIS has claimed responsibility for it, while russians blame Ukrainian forces for that.
UPD: On March 25, putin officially blamed Ukraine for the Crocus City Hall attack, while his people have already tortured several men of a Caucasian ethnicity they’ve preliminarily detained as suspects. (And even cut off the ear of one of them on live TV, to the cheerful comment of russians.)
Nothing new, a typical tactic for putin and his people, the same they used back in 1999 to bring putin to power (307 killed, 1700 ingured); in 2002 to give a “reason” for (130 killed, around 700 injured) Second Chechen War; in 2004 (333 killed, 186 of which — children) to reason federal government reforms consolidating power in the Kremlin and strengthening putin’s power.
And here we go again:
The Crocus City Hall moment can be used to announce a general mobilization. The FSB (rus federal security service) uses similar emotional triggers, so russians will accept it. Obviously, putin will use this to explain further intensification of aggression against Ukraine.
But wait, what do we have at the moment?
Many countries around the world are now expressing condolences to russia.
Suddenly, russians are the victims. In the morning, they were launching hundreds of missiles at Ukraine, and now the whole world is condoling with them. They wiped out Ukrainian cities, cities in Georgia, Syria… C’mon!
At this time, russia is not mourning. Russia is using the terrorist attack to justify new massacres in Ukraine. Russian senator Rogozin called for killing Ukrainians in response to the ISIS terrorist attack in Moscow.
Today, the world and russians are shocked by a terrorist attack. But their government regularly commits similar terrorist attacks in Ukraine. Thousands of civilians have become victims of barbaric missile attack. And this does not shock russians. They agree with this.
Russia continues to kill Ukrainians, distracting the rest of the world from this.
Well played, f**ing russian terrorists. Well played.
